Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 May 2026
The short version: we ask for your email so we can tell you when North Star is available. We don’t track you, we don’t share your email with anyone except the email service that delivers our messages, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how we handle your information on this marketing website — where you sign up for early access to North Star.
When the North Star app launches, the app will have its own separate privacy policy covering everything you do inside it (journals, prayers, AI conversations, account data). Nothing in that future policy is governed here.
What we collect
When you submit the early-access form, we collect:
- Your email address. That is the only personal information we ask for.
We don’t use analytics, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting on this site. We don’t set cookies for tracking. The site collects nothing else from you automatically.
Why we collect it
Your email is used for one purpose: to notify you when North Star is available, and to send occasional, related updates about the launch.
Our lawful basis for processing under UK GDPR is your consent — given by typing your email into the form and pressing the button. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Your rights below).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to deliver the site:
- Resend — our email service provider. Your email is stored in their secure audience platform so we can send you a launch notification. Their privacy practices are described at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Our hosting provider — this site runs on a managed hosting platform (such as Vercel or Railway). They process standard server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) for the time required to operate the service securely.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
Where your data is processed
Resend and our hosting provider may process your information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by the appropriate UK GDPR safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism) used by those providers.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until either of the following happens:
- You ask us to remove it (we delete it within 30 days).
- The early-access programme ends and we no longer need to contact you about the launch.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and similar laws (including California’s CCPA), you have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it if it’s wrong
- Ask us to delete it
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk if you believe we’ve handled your data improperly
To exercise any of these rights, email us at northstarbibleapp@outlook.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we’ll remove the entry.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and bump the date at the top. For substantive changes, we’ll also email everyone on the early-access list before the change takes effect.
